The burgundy sunflower is a Chianti Hybrid from Burpee. This is the first year I've grown these and they are really catching a lot of attention from both neighbors and bees. Thanks for commenting.
If anyone has some interesting sunflowers I would love to swap seeds!
My grandmother, who just happens to be my next door neighbor, taught me to appreciate the little things like the sprouting of seedlings, a blooming flower, or discovering your first ripe tomato. I now have a passion for plants and gardening. I love sunflowers and veggies. There's nothing better than picking vegetables that you grew and cooking up something special.
That burgundy one is really something- what variety is it?
ReplyDeleteI second that the burgundy sunflower is amazing!
